Thanks

I want to thank you all for your kind comments on my previous post.

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have?

These are the words of Jesus recorded in the Bible, the book of Matthew 5:43-46a.

Do you believe them?

  1. Yes, I believe them because Jesus said it, but it can be very hard to do it at times.

  2. Absolutely! Although very hard to do, like forgiving, it helps us more than those we're thinking of.
    Blessings,

  4. Yes, I believe what Jesus said and taught us. It's just not always easy to do. Without Jesus helping me, I probably couldn't do it at all.

  7. How can I not believe these words? Jesus said them, the Holy Spirit inspired men to write them in God's Word to us. Who am I to challenge them, to challenge God? God bless you and keep you, dear Sandi.

  8. Yes, Sandi, I believe them, but I have to admit that sometimes that's easier said than done. Yet, I continue to pray and ask God for the strength.

  14. Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful passage from Matthew. It truly speaks to the heart of what it means to follow Christ. I know for me, personally, loving those who are difficult or who have caused pain is one of the biggest challenges, but passages like this are such a powerful reminder of God's grace and how He calls us to reflect His love in the world. It's something I continually pray for strength in.
